Some thoughts on IntenseDebate

IntenseDebate is owned by Automattic.

Automattic takes good care of their services. Akismet and PollDaddy are two great examples.

However, they have practically stopped caring about their IntenseDebate branch.

We have not seen any updates in the recent months. No blog post revealing what’s going on.

It is almost like the service is just on in a freeze state. You can use it. But nothing is changing in the background.

Frankly speaking, Disqus has totally demolished IntenseDebate in the recent months (years even).

The feature-set on Disqus is pretty awesome. The back end. The front end… It provides a much better user experience.

I am sticking with IntenseDebate for two reasons alone… It is backed by Automattic and it supports commenting even when JavaScript is disabled in the user’s browser.

Google search showcasing possible typos with MS Word like red curly underline?

Just noticed this while Googling my own name on Google.com.

Google Instant does not seem to like Sushubh and it ended up displaying results for Shubha.

Today, I noticed that Google had put a red curly underline on my name as soon as I entered Sushub.

Google showcasing possible typos with MS Word like red underline?

Looks like Google is using it to highlight potential typos. My name isn’t one sadly. But then Google does not have it in its records. Which makes me very very sad.

And no… This is not Chrome running its own spell checker!

3G license for Gurgaon?

Last time I checked Tata DOCOMO, Idea and Vodafone had 3G licenses for Haryana.

I assumed that applied to Gurgaon too.

But this tweet from the Tata DOCOMO team is rather mmm surprising.

@Sushubh Yes, we DO have the licence 4 Haryana, but not for Gurgaon! #3GLifeless than a minute ago via web

Gurgaon is considered part of Delhi NCR above Haryana?

That means Airtel, Reliance and Vodafone are going to serve in Gurgaon?
