Google has just announced their +1 project which would become an integral part of their search results in the coming months.
You can start using it right away by adding it as an experiment on your account.
The links you +1 on Google search results would be highlighted for you and your social connections.
This is just the latest of the services that Google Search would highlight. It already highlights the results you bookmark using the Google Bookmarks service. It also highlights the results you share on Twitter and Google Buzz. There are reports that Google also highlights the results that are bookmarked on your Chrome installation. Update: I forgot to mention Google Sidewiki which is also there to highlight web pages on the web.
+1 would add on to the share buttons that are already massively popular on the web. Any web publisher needs at least two… one for Facebook and another for Twitter. Google Buzz already has a share button. I guess, anyone using a Buzz button would replace it with the +1 button that would soon be available.
What a damn shame. I mean I cannot seem to use it even for the free apps. The store installed just fine on my phone. Forced me to enable 1-click ordering which is a pretty risky thing to be on all the time. And still no luck. Very disappointing.
I was able to check-in today. In fact, I managed to add a new place and check-in there. And there are already a bunch of locations in my locality created by users and I see plenty of check-ins there. Guess the launch is slow but it’s definitely there!

Here are two screenshots I took while trying to install Internet Explorer 9 on my machine. Apparently, it requires me to shut down my antivirus amongst other things to install.
At least there is hope that it would not ask me for a reboot if I let it close these applications.
Update. NOPE.

I understand Google not allowing any kind of sorting functionality in Gmail. Hotmail provides one. But it is useless for me.
Got it today. After I managed to drop my phone resulting in a minor dent on the body. So far loving it. It is pretty cheap too!
