Vodafone spams about anti-spam features

Vodafone just spam called me to tell me about a new feature on their service. This service has been designed to protect me from unwanted spam calls.

So, they want me to pay them 99 rupees monthly to set up a black list of numbers from which I do not want to receive calls. And I have to pay I think 50 paisa for adding every number to this list!

Considering, we already have National-Do-Not-Call registry in place, Vodafone should be taken to task by TRAI…

This is simply wrong.

Picsquare spams India Broadband Forum

If you go to their website to see what they offer… it sure does look like a half decent service.

But when you find out about them through spam posts made on your forum… You had rather not use them at all.

The spam posts were made by a user with the ID: manishpicsquare[at]yahoo.co.in

Here is some proof from the Google Blog Search as I removed the posts…

Here is another instance of Picsquare’s SPAM.

Vodafone comes to India

I hope they stop the extremely irritating flash sms spam mess. I hope they give me better value for my money on their prepaid plans. I hope they kick Airtel’s ass. I hope they give better and faster GPRS services so that I can think about getting a PDA instead of this stupid Moto L7 mobile phone.

And I hope they collaborate with Apple to bring the iPhone in the Indian market. Hah. Too many wishes.

YouTube Spam

The latest form of spam hitting my Inbox is the YouTube Spam. You get mail claiming that a compromising (??) video of you is posted on YouTube.

You are given this link which looks like it is on YouTube. But it points to an IP address which lures you into downloading an exe file.

Now, should I try running that exe file through Wine? Neh. I would pass this offer.
