Google search showcasing possible typos with MS Word like red curly underline?

Just noticed this while Googling my own name on Google.com.

Google Instant does not seem to like Sushubh and it ended up displaying results for Shubha.

Today, I noticed that Google had put a red curly underline on my name as soon as I entered Sushub.

Google showcasing possible typos with MS Word like red underline?

Looks like Google is using it to highlight potential typos. My name isn’t one sadly. But then Google does not have it in its records. Which makes me very very sad.

And no… This is not Chrome running its own spell checker!

Google Instant + Google Desktop = Freaking Scary Awesomeness!

So, we have had some time to get used to the concept of instant searching on Google.

I like it. More for the centralized layout largely. On a 27” display, left aligned sites do not feel nice. Google search results now are easier on the eyes and more accessible.

The interesting question now is… Is Google considering bringing this functionality to Google Desktop? It makes a lot of sense to have it on their desktop search solution.

Plus… If Google provides an optional integration of Google Instant with Google Desktop… It would make our computing lives a lot more fun… And scary of course.

Google could in fact offer it as an extension for their Chrome browser and make it work from the omnibar. That would be like using an Google powered layer on top of your operating system.

S Su Sus Sush Sushu Sushub Sushubh!

Google Instant was launched today and it presents an interesting challenge to SEO folks around the world.

They might now need to optimize their client’s website for all the alphabets of the keywords relevant to them!

So, we just might see more spamming in the title tags of the web pages on the internets in the near future.

Just a funny thought.

PS. Google Instant does not really like my name. That sucks… :(
