So, I placed an order for LG Optimus One for a friend at Letsbuy.com.

I decided to pay using Cash on Delivery option because I did not want to land in a situation where I made a payment but got a much delayed delivery.

It has been around 5 days now… My accounts page does not show any update on the delivery situation.

Calling Letsbuy.com customer care has been helpless. No one is picking up the phone since yesterday.

Their Facebook page does not allow me to put a message. I checked out existing threads and noticed that other users are facing similar problems with delayed delivery and customer care not responding to phone calls.

I guess not paying through the credit card turned out to be a good decision. From what I heard, they do deliver eventually but the process can take a week or even more. This is pretty sad considering timely delivery would ensure that I would consider them for more orders in the future.

I picked Letsbuy.com over Flipkart because of a discount coupon I found. I guess I would just wait and see what happens now!

I also mailed them a query through email… No responses to that too till now.

CafeGadgets charging more than MRP for products!

Update: I got the refund… Took a long time. But I managed to get my money back!

Update 2: It took me a while (and more than 24 hours) to get through to them. They assured me that it was a mistake from their end. And they are working on correcting it. And I would get the refund automatically. From my experience, I can bet that it would require multiple calls from my side to get them to refund me the money. I would update here when I do get the refund… If I do!

Update 1: I managed to get through their customer care support in the morning. I was asked to call back in 30 minutes. They have not picked up the phone after that call. I tried every 30 minutes!

I just received the SteelSeries Mouse Pad QcK mass I had ordered from CafeGadgets.

It took them around 10 days to deliver this product to my place.

This is not the only shocking part of the deal.

The product I ordered cost me Rs. 1249 from their website. Product Page

But the MRP sticker on the item itself say just Rs. 799.

I am not sure what kind of a shady deal this is. The company charged me Rs. 450 extra over MRP for no apparent reason.

Google Checkout and Credit Card verification

Just noticed today that Google Checkout does not require you to put in the password that is required by both Visa (Verified by Visa) and MasterCard (MasterCard SecureCode).

I was able to connect a Credit Card with a Google Checkout account and shop using it without the need to put in the password!

This was awfully weird and scary.
