Looks like that for sure. At least according to most Airtel users on the India Broadband Forum. So, it practically means I would not be able to get the promised 256 kbps speeds at any time of the day from Airtel Broadband. Now that sucks. Increased electricity bills as a result of this new Airtel policy.
If you go to their website to see what they offer… it sure does look like a half decent service.
But when you find out about them through spam posts made on your forum… You had rather not use them at all.
The spam posts were made by a user with the ID: manishpicsquare[at]yahoo.co.in

We have this new member on the India Broadband Forum who claims that the consumer experience website MouthShut has been deleting his postings related to Tata Indicom Broadband.
India Broadband Forum has just clocked an active member base of 1000… This is likely to be temporary but an impressive feat for a forum which has a very limited appeal for most visitors.
A user on the India Broadband Forum pointed out this official website which sounds like it represents Airtel (of India) but it turns out to be the website of Vodafone Spain!
It is especially funny considering Vodafone is now one of the major rivals of Airtel in the Indian market. Mind baffling stuff.
But then Airtel and Vodafone have been partners since quite sometime…
This is awesome. Took nearly three years. But we finally managed to cross 100,000 posts. The screenshot is posted here and Amish did the honors of posting the 100,000th post on the forum!

Now, that’s a pretty good statistic for the forum. It is likely to happen before the forum turns 3 years old this coming August 24.
I am still not sure what to do on this occasion. Guys on the forum have not been very forthcoming with any plans.
I am clueless.
