Yohoo! Ice Cream Sandwich!

Google did not deliver it. I waited for around a month. Was getting bored tonight and got some help on Google Plus. Went ahead with the manual process using the official build. Took me less than 15 minutes to get it updated. And it seems to be doing great.

I have had a couple of disappointments. But overall, it is a much much better experience compared to Gingerbread.

Seriously loving the ability to take screenshot on my phone!

Google Nexus S

So, I did something that my mom definitely does not approve off. Sold the Nexus One I had to a friend. Brian owns it now and seems to be very happy with it.

Google Nexus S

I bought the Google Nexus S. This is not a very strong upgrade on paper. Hardware specifications are rather similar so I am not very excited about it.

Plus, this phone seems to have the same GPS connectivity issues that were reported with their other models. It takes too much time to get your location. And simply fails indoors. It was not like that with the Nexus One.

Anyways, this is the phone I would be using for the next year or so. I hope the experience would be as fruitful as the one with Google Nexus One.

Google is on a roll this month

They just launched Android 2.3 along with their second self-branded smartphone Google Nexus S.

They also launched their eBook platform with an ebookstore.

And today, they are probably going to launch the Google Chrome OS.

If only they had launched all these devices a month ago, they would have gained immensely from the holiday season.

Anyways, Google Nexus S hardware is not exciting enough for me to look for someone to bring it to me from the US. Waiting for dual core processor based devices to hit the market. It would be a shame if we would have to wait for another year to get the next Nexus branded stock Android based device.
