Go Daddy might have changed their public stance towards SOPA. But I am finally doing what I have been delaying for years now… Switching away from them.
I might end up paying a dollar or two more on each domain renewal but I would no longer have to deal with their complicated wizards that are thrown at my face on every freaking order!
Moving to Hover.com as they seem to have an awesome customer care! First domain migration is currently underway…
It is a well-known fact that domain registration companies keep an eye on pretty much all the searches that are conducted through their system.
And some of them are known to squat the domain within minutes of the search so that they can sell that domain for a higher price to the person who was searching for it.
Anyways. I just got an email alert from Go Daddy about a domain that is still ‘available’. I had searched for it 2 days back but did not go ahead and buy it.
I am not shocked by the email as I have heard major horror stories. At least this domain is “MAY still be available” as per the email alert!
