Twitter is simply awesome

Twitter is becoming a very important tool for me. Not because it let me stay in touch with my friends… But it enables me to get help from some of the most unimaginable places!

Vodafone India: Happy to help?

The ads have now become annoying especially when you DO know that the Vodafone Customer Care is pathetic and they are not really happy to help.

Here is an example comment from a Vodafone user:

I had got same response from a Vodafone customer care representative while complaining about network lost issue. That arrogant guy told me to cancel my connection.
Vodafone need to do something about their network and customer care guys or they are going to lose many of their customers at least I am not going to continue using Vodafone.

Airtel customer support on 1999 UL plan

I have been getting packet drops on Google. And I have been getting less than expected speeds on downloads.

So, I called up Airtel customer care and they sent a representative.

His solutions for my problem…

Airtel plans have 1:2 sharing ratio so the best speed they guarantee is 256kbps on this 512kbps package.

So, technically I am paying 2000 bucks plus taxes for a package that would give me guaranteed speeds of 32 kBps.

On the breaking ping issue. As I had expected, they had no solution for me on this. He tried doing some random stuff. Which as I knew was not going to change anything for the quality of service I get.

Something nice about ICICI Bank

I must admit that their online guys are pretty active in responding to your queries. Not talking about the people who respond to your questions through Infiniti but the regular customer care guys.

Send a mail to their customer care email id and you are bound to receive a quick response. In fact, I sent a mail to the id related to usability of the site at around 3-4 am in the morning.

And I get a call from their head office at around 10 am asking me details about my mail.

Of course I do not expect to change their website as per my suggestions, it is still better than what I had originally expected!
