I am not sure if you have tried calling the Airtel Customer Care numbers in the recent days.
My attempts 2 days ago were quite painful. It took me 10 minutes of waiting to get some guy on the other side and as soon as the other side picks up the phone, the connection simply disconnects.
Just received a call from Tata Indicom customer care center.
They wanted to ask the reason behind lowered usage on the Indicom number I have.
Update: As usual. I mailed Airtel Management Guys. Instant action after that. Everything done within a couple of hours. It was so fast that I was not prepared to handle it.
My account is due for a renewal on the 10th of this month.
