Seriously… crappy times we are living in.

I was in Chandigarh last night. I was looking for some place which could serve me any kind of food at around 2 am.
It was 3 AM and I was driving on the lonely road that ends at the Hanuman Mandir near Karol Bagh from Dhaula Kuan.
There were a couple of cops on the side of the road who seems to be pointing towards me to stop the car.
I did assuming they wanted to check my license and registration.
Found out that they wanted a lift. Assuming they were still cops, I found it tough to negate their request.
I gained control of my senses in like 10 seconds after I started the drive. Noticed that I had done something really stupid. I kept looking in the back mirror for a Chloroform induced cloth or a knife. I also tried to stay near to any other vehicle which was traveling on that road at that point of time in the night.
I drove for like 10 KMs with four guys in Cops dress and I dropped them near Karol Bagh.
And I said… OMGWTFAMIINSANE?
Update: I forgot to add here that I have started hallucinating these days. Especially at nights.
I am annoyed with Delhi. Very annoyed.
The city is a pain to drive in during office hours. Too much traffic. No traffic sense on the road. Cops are designed to make your life harder…
Today was worse. The Olympic Torch thing meant that we had 100 times more cops on the roads. And they created a mess.
Instead of working on improving the traffic management, they had stationed their vehicles on the road sides. As if we have enough space on the roads for the cars which are plying on the city roads.
And I am not sure on what is going to happen in the future. Delhi simply cannot handle the number of vehicles it has in it. The government seems to be doing nothing on it. Any logical suggestion is thrown out of the window. Looks like they are expecting magic to happen from Metro and the Bus Corridor.
They have to realize one fact. People are lazy. You have made them lazy. Public transport has been a disaster for so many years. To expect people to leave their cars at home and travel on buses and trains… is not going to happen anytime soon.
I guess they would try to kill the problem instead of coming out with a solution.
I have failed to find a decent badge to display on my blog to show my support for Free Tibet movement. I am a supporter and I need to show it to piss off the government. Not that it matters to them. People’s opinion is the last thing on their minds…
