So, Apple iPhone 3G in India costs between Rs. 31000-36100. Way to go Apple!

Nokia and HTC would be feeling pretty comfortable right now!

Apple iPod Touch and iPhone 2.0

I still am unable to find out whether Apple is now shipping the iPod Touch with the new iPhone 2.0 software or not.

Are they expecting me to buy the iPod Touch and pay 10 USD more for the software update?

I guessed they would be selling the iPod Touch with the updated firmware now that the iPhone 3G is out…

Apple iPhone Pricing Strategy?

I am asking a simple question…

Would you prefer to pay:

Rs. 10,000 for the Apple iPhone with Rs. 2,000 minimum monthly rental?

Or

Rs. 20,000-25,000 for the Apple iPhone with Rs. 500-1000 minimum monthly rental?

Looking at the charges of mobile calls in India, it is unlikely that we are going to get a subsidized Apple iPhone.

Looking at the prices of Nokia Smartphones (E and N Series) and HTC models, I do not think Apple iPhone at Rs. 25,000 is that expensive.
