airtel continues to annoy me. This time with their new logo on IPTV platform.

When the new logo was launched, I was sort of happy to see it replace their older one on the IPTV feed.

Here is how it looked like:

But looks like airtel was not happy with a fix. They have replaced the logo with a new version which is a total disaster. Here is how it looks now:

I am not sure why airtel is working so hard to piss their customers around the country. Their broadband service with crappy plans with pathetic fair usage policy limits is not amusing anyone. I have been managing with their IPTV services. But this is just getting absurd.

Update 3: Finally a solid answer. They do not have spare new remotes. Older remotes are still in stock for folks who need a replacement remote for the time being.

Update 2: Another Airtel customer care guy calls me up and says they do not have spare black remotes in stock. I am not sure what the hell is going on. What are they going to do when a customer needs a new remote because his older one has stopped working?

Update 1: Airtel customer support folks called me again. This time again, they had the same response… I cannot get a new one if my older remote is working fine. For a moment I decided to kill the older remote myself. But then I made the same request again. I am ready to pay for it! The girl on the phone put me on hold. Came back and confirmed that I can get it for Rs. 200. I said fine. That is what I was looking for. Thanks. Send it to me! Good stuff. It took them so much time to process this simple request of mine. Amusing.

256kbps is the new face of Airtel Broadband #airtelsucks

When TRAI announced that 256kbps is to be provided as the minimum guaranteed speed in the name of broadband, they would not have imagined what Airtel Broadband would do with that stipulation.

It took them a while to realize how they can misuse the power given to them by TRAI. But they have eventually taken the steps to ensure their demise as the best ISP in the Indian market.

Airtel Presence is the place to complain coz Airtel Customer Care is useless

I am not sure if you have tried calling the Airtel Customer Care numbers in the recent days.

My attempts 2 days ago were quite painful. It took me 10 minutes of waiting to get some guy on the other side and as soon as the other side picks up the phone, the connection simply disconnects.
