Stanley Ka Dabba

Amole Gupte was the creative director of Taare Zameen Par. And you would notice a lot of similarities in these two movies. In fact, I can literally call it a sequel to Taare Zameen Par but there are some major differences.

The movie does not have a happy ending. You end up realizing that it is more of a documentary promoting a noble cause.

The ending is pretty abrupt. Especially after you notice Raj Zutshi entering the scene around the interval. His entry feels similar to how Aamir Khan made an entry in TZP. But his role is rather absurd with no substance.

The movie is well shot but it still feels incomplete. This tells me that it was good that Aamir Khan had his way in TZP because that movie turned out to be a much better product in the end. I had like to know what you felt about this movie in case you have seen it. If you have not, I suggest you do!

Oye! It’s Friday by Farhan Akhtar

This show turned out to be a disappointment. Farhan Akhtar is pretty dull. Breaks are too long. Too many distractions.

Pretty annoying. Not cool.

Update:

I have seen some very terrible talk shows. This one seems to have outdone them all. Farhan Akhtar tries hard to be funny. But everything seems to backfire. He needs to get back to direction.
