This video tutorial came very handy. I had problems even after this but I found out that they were due to Firewall issues. I had to disable the firewall on both the systems to get it to work.

Till sometime back, Flickr used the same image name with a suffix for all kinds of images. This included private images.
So, if you knew the file name of an image that is labeled private otherwise, you could have still guessed the name of the largest sized image which is otherwise not available to regular [...]

Two things I noticed while using Vista…
Copying files from My Documents folder from an older installation:

It notices what I am doing and tells me that the music files inside the folder would be moved to the movies folder on my new machine!
Trying to delete files:

Vista Transparency

I like it that Vista is smart enough to disable the transparency of the Taskbar if you have an application maximized. I hated transparent Taskbar in Ubuntu for that particular reason.

Kflickr and flickr uploadr comparison

I found the Linux’s Kflickr much more usable and smoother compared to Flickr’s Official Uploadr to upload images to Flickr.
Sadly, I cannot run Kflickr on Vista…

Google Picasa vs. Windows Photo Gallery

I still prefer to use Picasa. Microsoft did a fairly good job with Windows Photo Gallery but experimental features like Duplicate Photo Finder in Picasa comes handy for me.
