Planet M and copy protected CDs
I went to see Bourne Supremacy today. And as usual, went to Planet M to check for any new CDs that might interest me. Found Raghav’s Storyteller and decided to get it for my personal collection, which is getting bloated week after week.
Having already bought and suffered four copy protected CDs, I was a bit more careful today. Checked every nook and corner of the CD Box for a symbol related to copy protection. Found none, so took it to the counter if they had any idea about it. Strangely, none of the 3 people there had any idea what I was talking about. Had to spend the next 5 minutes explaining about copy protection and the symbol that CDs have if they are locked for duplication.
Since, they had no idea about the symbol… there was little choice but to take the CD with no guarantee if I would be able to save it on my PC for listening. Luckily, it was not and I am currently enjoying a song called ‘So Confused’ from the same album.
It’s not a good thing from Planet M’s part to not inform their crew about the copy protection and the related symbols to assist customers like me in buying Audio CDs. Kudos to Times Music for not being cynical enough!
However, the audio CD is not worth 200 bucks you will have to spend on it. I found only 2 songs worth listening. Overall, the album left me confused.

yeah, i know what you mean about copy-protected CD’s. i made the mistake of buying Iron Maiden’s Dance of Death. the god-damn thing wouldn’t let me rip the songs to transfer onto my ipod. capitalist bastards
