Why don’t I write professionally?

Trashy Article on CNN IBN Website

I Blog. And blogs are imperfect. At least my blogs are somewhat imperfect. I have no copy editors to proof read my written stuff. If I need one, I would hire one indeed.

But, why don’t I write professionally? The reason is simple. The jobs tend to become boring. And when they do, you end up writing stuff which somewhat ends up looking like this trashy news piece on CNN IBN.

Read it and tell me if you think that article is well written… It seems like Dr. Abhishek Puri is totally blocked from commenting on the CNN IBN website. So, I thought why not we put our comments here on our blogs

Here is something from the house of NDTV. Look’s to be a very pathetic attempt of starting a Gadget Portal.

Update: Here is a good article written by my friend Samrat… This inspires me to do something good with this keyboard and a wordprocessor.

good for you. i pity your opinion. :)

Yes it is acceptable as long as content is proper.

For me content is more important then presentation.

  3. Sushubh says:

so for you bad grammar on the official website of india’s premier news channel is acceptable.

    for me, it is not.

thank you for your nice and totally illogically insane comments.

  4. sumitra says:

Well, anyone can do that job..

being Soniya’s rubber stamp is not that difficult ;)

BTW, how is that related to grammer ???

  5. Sushubh says:

    Whats wrong with this article??

Its infomative and has good content… Grammer does not matter as long as language is good enough to convey your messsage…

We could start off something like “NDTV watch” or “CNN-IBN” watch and hail their attempts at journalism!

We cant get back on them on TV…but Internet is ours. Let them compete with us on content, ethos, truthfulness et al. We’d blog and tell them that despite having tons of money, it doesnt make these guys ANY better.

If the top guys can blog on their website, so can we. Thats a different matter that we dont get so much of traffic; because people aren’t aware as yet. However, we are still better off without comments from hordes of brain dead idiots.

The idea is to set the tone ONLY for constructive criticism. We are not here to malign anyone. The whole execrise is only limited to their professional work. We are sick of the media in the present circumstances and need something better.

We could spend time online, but are hampered by present state of access. It’s only when I switch on TV, I need something sensible to reflect on. Not exhortations to SMS. Or with background music trying to sound overtly concerned. Whither serious journalism?

Yes, we dont need the foreign media houses either. Nor the stooges who kick around with them. All in the name of “content sharing”? Well, CNN was hammed in US for it’s Iraq coverage. Everyone knows it’s the unofficial US Govt. mouth piece.
