Maruti Suzuki Cars and Safety
I read this quote from MUL managing director Jagdish Khattar:
“We are not worried about cheaper vehicles as Maruti gives importance to safety angle.”
And then I see the company making cars like Maruti Omni and Maruti 800. The company was forced to install seat belts in them after Supreme Court made it compulsory. I am yet to see any efforts from the company to start offering Air Bags in most of their models. Suzuki Swift is an exception. Apart from that, I doubt any of the cars from the company are much safer… than what the competition offers. Fiat is one company, which I believe make really safe cars.
