Damn. ICICI Bank has just roped in Shah Rukh Khan to be their brand ambassador. And the worst part is that they did not need any. The company already has a great reputation in itself and Shah Rukh is not going to help. What they can do is spend more money in expanding their ATM networks and improve upon their services by lowering fines and charges for other services. Spending a couple of crores rupees for a face to feature on your brochures is not a good idea.

Everytime I go to some Indian newspaper website, there it is - the annoying photo of Shah Rukh Khan. At least they could have made it less obtrusive!
You are absolutely right - ICICI doesn’t need this idiotic campaign. Instead they could be spending their money on improving their services - hell, even their online transactions (Canada) could use some improvement! Do these chaps try to get a feedback survey done - as to whether thrusting Shah Rukh’s photo on everyone’s face (I’m talking about the online ads) is really gonna help them get more business? I already have an account with them. But if this in-your-face ad campaign had started before I opened my account, I would have stayed away. How dare they assume that every damn Indian would be lured by a bollywood personality!
