		<description>Hi

Am responding to Angus.

Don't know what kind of music your bands play... but i suggest you touch the following cities (Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Goa).

Target audience for western music is sizeable.

You could also get in touch with event management firms like Fountainhead &#38; wizmark, who could hook you up with the best gigs and the local event calendars.

Check out the link below that lists event managers....
http://www.agencyfaqs.com/resources/events_management/index_A_0.html

Regarding hotels check out the following:

Option1
www.gingerhotels.com/
(read article below, they are gr8 value for money)
http://tata.com/indian_hotels/releases/20060907.htm

Option 2
log on to sites like www.cleartrip.com or www.travelguru.com

They may not allow you to book as you are not resident in India, however they would give you a good idea about decent hotels &#38; rates.
Locating hotels online directly, subsequently would not be difficult.

Cheers!

<description>Hi - I'm a manager (based in New Jersey) of some rock bands based out of the US and also Australia &#38; New Zealand. I'm coming to India in a few weeks to take a look around to see if there's much of a market for any of my bands to tour there. Any comments you might have would be great - I'm looking for what people "on the ground" think. Also if anyone can recc a good hotel in Gurgaon, that would be great, for say US$150-$170 per night?

Cheers - Angus</description>
