Getting around technology
When you live around a certain technology all day long, you have to assume certain things to get your work done with as little pain as possible. Now, I like Opera as a web browser. And I love Gmail as a web mail service. I do not any longer like Email clients and Opera does not seem to have a liking for Google’s Gmail.
Now, I hate Firefox for what it is. Sluggish, and pain to operate as a primary web browser. Nevertheless, it is much better to use than internet explorer. That is why it is my preferred second browser after Opera. Now, Google Gmail works fantastically well in Firefox. Therefore, I have to assume Mozilla Firefox + Gmail loaded in the only tab I have in Firefox to be my mail client. And this system works perfectly.
The sad point? Firefox consumes too much memory to be my mail client. Then, RAM is cheap and I plan to upgrade my system pretty soon.

Opera = use for researching/finding/surfing/bookmarking warez pr0n stuff
IE = use it when a site is so broken that it refuses to work in opera
FFox = when I need to troubleshoot/hack my web/app servers thx to extensions like livehttpheaders etc ;), quick proxy switching, source editing, cookie editor, and modifying requests etc
In all I use all 3 browser at any given point of time

If you pop/smtp your gmail, it works fantastically well with Opera.

I ve been using Opera since time immemorial. Its toolbar is nice and cache handling is excellent but its my observation that it takes a long time to open gmail on it.
