CNBC CNN IBN Television Eighteen India Ltd and Me
I don’t really care about how you feel .
More over, you had the cheek to call the process stupid..so at the very least you owe me an apology.
This is how Gaurav Dwivedi from CNBC/TV18Online reacted after I refused to appear on one of their shows on Online Web Publishing. Nice attitude. I had just mentioned in my refusal that I find the idea of their show pretty stupid.
I believe as a viewer of their television I had the right to express my opinion. And their response does show that they do not even care about the people they invite on their television shows for a chit chat on various factors of life.
I feel bad for Rajdeep Sardesai who has recently become a part of this group… NDTV could have done it better. And I won’t have refused to appear on their show for them!
I had found NDTV to be a New Delhi local channel. Even their programs like big fight etc. included only Delhi figures and of course Shabna. Possibly like all ND figures they figured thr rest of India did not matter.
They were so contemtuous of rest of India that they had no locals as correspondents, only their Bong country cousins.
I thought CNN-IBn would be different. It turned out to be loud and windy, (Why does everbody yell on CNN-IBN? Loud is not good.) and more of the same as NDTV as NDTV staff were recruited wholesale. On top of this the old and ugly on screen were let go by NDTV and CNNIBN grabbed them.
Since TV is not radio I like looking at presenters who are presentable.
I suggest TimesNow. News only. Good looking presenters. All India coverage. No bong country cousins.
I do not care who gets the first shot of the news as I have other things to do than watch news channels all the time. I only want good and comphrehensive presentation twice a day.
cnn ibn is a really good news channel with impartial reportings of news.
The controversy over mass recruitment of journalists from ndtv does not hold as they are free to choose their jobs.The fact that cnn ibn has become a top newschannel in such a short time throws light on the leadership skills of Sardesai.

I just chanced about on this blog when I was searching for some IBN-CNN related stuff. It was interesting to see how the whole thing started with Shubh writing out what he felt was inappropriate handling by some senior reporter at CNN-IBN and then led onto a channel war NDTV Vs IBN-CNN and somewhere someone started talking about learning Enhlish from Rajdeep sardesai and then about how good a person was Dr. rajkumar and how the Kannada world misses him, then onto power crises in Juhu to an advocate in Andhra fighting for compensation…WOW!!!
All this started from a simple comment from one person at the beginning…

Would just like to add one thing…I think shubh was just trying to say that he was not handled in a proper way and people at CNN-IBN could have been nicer when replying to him.
Its the question of correct attitude when handling a person…simple and look what it led to….
Crux of the matter- India is a democratic country and people should have full right to express themselves but the way to express could be worked upon without really becoming a battering ram or going all out against someone.
As far as news channels are concerned….people watch news probably once or twice a day (in case they are working professionals that is, housewives stick to the soaps and children to cartoon networks) so the news should serve the purpose of giving us the right News not sensational stuff like who got married when, where, who smooched etc..etc… whichever channel gives this serves my purpose…don’t care if its NDTV or CNN IBN. And it being a democratic country if there is a certain percentage of people who are interested in watching these kind of news..well is there any derth of channels providing them?? So one just has to choose what to watch and when thats all….

i m very strange that these private channels are focussing all the news including useless KISSING OF RAKHI SAWANT news and intervies also but they are not intersted on main issues of this country.. they are bzy only on rich society.. who are going broad.. wat they eating in the morning ..how they coming wid dress code … in that party how they danc…etc…etc.. unnecessary …fuly faltu news .
i just want to appeal CNN-IBN that they should prefer every corner of this country. every day i want to see some news from NORTHEAST.. but they wouldn’t publish..in Assam .. there are evreyday bomb blust are happening and lots of people are died..LOTS OF PEOPLE ARE DIED IN FLOOD..LOTS OF MONEY OF THAT STATE IS GOING ON WAST..
NorthEast has lots of resources ..lots of tourist place .. but who know it in out this country.. every people of out of NorthEast that this place is like haven.. NorthEast peoples like ghost..
so, i want to appeal to CNN-IBN news person that they should interest to this place ..
