PVR Naraina Experience

Ok. Another rant post. I went to PVR Naraina to catch this Oscar Wilde play based movie, A Good Woman. Everything was fine till the time just before the half time. Suddenly, sound disappeared from the movie. It ran like a silent movie for like 10 minutes with no one in the projector room caring about it. It was when the crowd started shouting did they started doing something in the projector room.

The result was worse. This time even the video stream disappeared. It stayed like that for another 10-15 minutes. No one from the hall management came to the audi to tell us about the problems they were facing. Some angry people went out and called the manager. And the best he could offer was fake apologies and suggestion to wait for sometime while they fix the problem.

It stayed like that for another 15-20 minutes. After that the video stream came back again but sound was still missing. It took them another 10 minutes to get the sound back. But the idiots did not rewind the movie to the time when the problems started. It took them another 10 minutes to get that fixed. The movie ran fine finally after like 30-40 minutes.

It was not uneventful after that. Suffered another 2 minor blackouts before the movie ended. Some people preferred to take a refund during the halftime promising never to come back. Rest of the people in the hall were offered a free drink which had more soda than flavor in it. It was a bad bad day and the management at the PVR Naraina handled it very badly.
