Inconsistencies in Airtel Special Offers
Ok, yeah the world has moved on to Reliance and their ultra cool cheap CDMA services (with faulty billing if I may add). But I am unfortunately still stuck on Airtel Prepaid connection. And most of my purchases of the recharge coupons depend upon the short time based schemes when they offer full calling value on the bought recharge coupons. But last week they kind of tricked me into losing around 150 bucks worth of calling value!
All this month I had been getting this short message on the mobile that all the second recharges in the month of July will be giving full calling value, provided both the charges were of above 350 bucks! Well good enough. It so happened that I had to get my card recharged fro the second time in the month last week (30th July) and I was pretty happy that I will get the full calling value on my second recharge (both were of 1080 bucks). But well, it came out as a shocker as my card was only recharged by 850 bucks as against expected 1000 bucks. The dealer had no idea what the issue was, so I had to try the next best thing… the Airtel customer support. The phone number of which was inaccessible for full 24 hours that day! When i was finally able to connect through, I get this answer. The scheme was pulled back on the 27th so I was not eligible for the benefits.
Well, I never get messages which indeed matters to me in the end. Because Airtel decided to pull back the scheme by 3 days, I was fooled into believing that I will be able to get benefited from it.
Hmm… So it is just 180 bucks. But well the point is all about the inconsistencies! If they retract a scheme, they should as and well make sure everyone concerned should get to know about it!

the samme thing happened with me. im an airtel customer, they informed me of a service by which i could send free sms , with a monthly rental of 99 rs. but just two days after, when i decided to activate that offer, the customer care told me that d offers been pulled out.

it does not handles the customer care directly but it outsources the same and due to this the customer care executive is least bothered about the customer we dial 121 and we believe we are connected to airtlel customer care but we are wrong the executive there told me to go to the airtel office to sought out my problem. i was then thinking where the hell did i call?
my problem appears like this, it has happened to me thrice earlier and this is the foruth time and i donot know how many times it has gone unnoticed. I would like to caution the subscribers regarding the fact that there is a very high possibility that excess money is deducted for your calls if you are a prepaid customer like me just keep a close watch on the balance and if you are a post paid custome god alone help you.
this happened to me like this airtel is a provider who survives only on offers. they charge a call 2.25 while the BSNL charges 0.90 to to any mobile and Idea charges 0.99 to a minute while BPL now with HUTCH charges 1paise for a second that is 60ps a minute with 2rupees for connection useful for long duration talks. Airtel claims that it gives superior services that is the reason that it charges high.
as stated earlier i was given an offer whereby i had to charge 299 and i would get
25 days validity
300 airtel to airtel calls(re.1 /min) only local calls
150 any mobile calls(2.25 /min)only local calls
200 sms local sms.
50 regular taliktime
i charged on sept 1 and soon after the 2nd day i was left with 14 rupees on my regular talktime. and after that on 6th i made a call to a local airtel number and instead of deducting from my airtel balance they deducted from my regular talktime and not only that they charged the balance of 14 rupees for that single call which did not even last for a minute i noticed it since i was not able to make any calls. i soon called up customer support they told me that the problem will rectified in 48 hrs. i waited for 2 days and on friday 8th evening i called them only to know that the executive knows nothing about the calls and i had to tell the whole story. he made me hold the line for another 2 min and then he came back to tell me that he is sorry and that he does not have my call details. I asked him that what they support was doing for 2 days and he said he could do nothing about and i had to call back on Monday and confirm whether they have they have got the call history or not. On further query he said that he is not sure whether he would get the details. I waited and then called on tue the 13th and the then executive picked up the phone was also still ignorant and i again explained the whole story he made me wait for another 2 min and then he told me that he has no details regarding my calls and that i had to call in the evening and confirm . i hanged up called up in the evening and again he said the then executive did not know anything and i had to explain the whole story and then he held me back for 2 minutes and again came back to tell the same story that he is sorry . i was terribly annoyed and i shouted at him he then said that i had to go to the airtel office and shout and he has not asked me to shout . on further query he said that they work seperately and they are not connected to airtel. i earlier knew the fact that it was an local inbound call center in kochi known as magus and it was outsourced. we are still charged very high and denied our services and airtel outsources their services to less experienced people I donot know why this happens. I have still not got back my 14 rupees and this has earlier happened to me where i had lost 6 rupees , 12 rupees and 4 rupees and i donot know how more times that i have not noticed in all the above cases i had low balances and i noticed it.

I have an ongoing issue with Bill Delivery for maore than 4 months.
I have been in touch with your Customer Care at 121, I Think the service is pathetic.
I is a long story of failed callback, failed commitments to resolve the issue.
I have spoken to Managers, who have promised to loom at this issue and failed to resolve this. One particular manager by name Ella promised last week that she would have my Original Bill sent again and would also send me the Copies of POD, ( as Airtel keeps claiming some mysterious family member of mine keeps reciving the bills everymonth)
I think your service is a DISGRACE, I am so sick of calling your 121 number so many times and explaing to so many different agents, who refuse to say anything other than ” we will look into this issue’ Keep parroting the same sentences again and again, Iresponsible Managers who fail to keep up their commitmets etc,
I live in Central Banaglore, in a prime locataion, If I am not able to get my fails what could be the fate of people who in Outskirts of Bangalore and other rural areas???
I infer that your company is out to cheat the Governments and the people by not sending bills, so that thye can save Income tax by declaring less money from subscribtion to the It Dept, also to save on cost.
I am so sick of these issues, I am warning you, I will be taking this further with the IT Dept and also TRAI.

Airtel people are forcing their hello tunes on customers. they are taking their customers for granted. When we call customer care services, for each time we have to repeat our complaint. and from that it is clear that how efficient their services are. hi am from kerala…. der is no offers from airtel for last 6 months th one and only offer is reduce call rate by charging with 249…..
so many of my friends changing der connections and taking hutch and idea all they give free calls and free SMS……
i think airtel lost so many connections becoz of der foolishness…
when i was asked about this with an agent of airtel he said airtel is now concentrating on postpaid connections…..
