no- ? ? but after few years america
would enjoy a better democratic status than india . indians are very
crazy of american culture ( political , social , educational & of course mental).
but still now we are enjoying better democratic values where 40%
people ( those are illitrate and living under povrty line--they-40%-
respect moral values of a human beings ) decide the future of "KINGS
( INDIAN POLITICIAN). 40% higer class of indian population are not
interested in cast their valuable votes.
because they----think in videshi sanskriti-sabhyata & represent their
pseudo democratic-patriotism like this song--
MERA JUTA HAI JAPANI YE PATLOON ENLISHTANI
SIR PAR LAAL TOPI RUSI PHIR BHI DIL HAI HINDUSTANI.

Well, anyone who is rich, influential and powerful can become a politician in the States and Arnie has charisma and popular support so he won ( lots of filmstars in India become Members of Parliament in India too) but he can never become the President because he was not born in th USA! So, its not true that America compares better to India, infact in India you cld argue that there are no legal provisions forbidding Sonia Gandhi from becoming the PM!
I agree though that the issue got a lot of bad press, especially with loonies like Uma Bharati and Sushma Swaraj ranting against S.Gandhi on T.V -- people like them give India a bad name and demean our history of secularism and democracy!!
