PVR Gurgaon Cinema Hall

I booked a couple of tickets for the Mangal Pandey: The Rising movie from the PVR Cinemas website for tomorrow and failed to get a confirmation mail from the company. So, I tried searching for the customer care section on this website and failed to find anything like that. As a last attempt I searched for an email id for the Gurgaon branch of the cinema hall. Found gurgaon@pvrcinemas.com to be the relevant address. Mailed a general mail giving details of the tickets I booked and ask if they were confirmed. To my surprise, the mail bounced back with the message:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

gurgaon@pvrcinemas.com

Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 10): 550 unknown user

Sucks when the company even fail to provide a customer care section while allowing users to book tickets on the Internet through their website!

I faced the same problem. Thankfully my friend had pvr counter number but of no use. They were rude and impolite, and wouldnt give me a transaction number for the complaints. All they kept saying was that you are not the only person facing this problem. Have patience. We will get back. Am still waiting. PVR sucks!!!!!!!!!!!1

On 25 Nov 06, I tried to book PVR Spice tickets for movie Casino Royale using my credit card.
I did not receive the confirmation mail/ticket on my mail id so i thought tickets are not booked.
Hence i went and purchased the tickets from the PVR counter.

Now my credit card statement shows that a transaction of Rs 320 was done on 25 Nov for PVR cinema tickets.

Whose fault is this !!! Bank is charging me for the amount for which PVR did not issue me any tickets.

Moreover there is no Customer care for PVR where i can put my complaint.
This is really shocking that the biggest chain of cinemas in india does not have a customer care and they make fool of people.

umm. i have had a few false alarm while trying to book tickets online.

but i have always received a mail if the payment was processed. if i do not get a mail, it means that the payment was not processed and i go ahead and book the tickets again.

though, technology is weird and things can indeed go wrong.

Guys i am the latest victim of PVR Cinema. I have booked the ticket for Like In a Metro and the same nonsense thing is happening. The error that i have got is Sorry, your transaction was not completed but the credit card is charged. Please send a mail to support@pvrcinemas.com with the Authorisation Code (141241)Click here to continue. Despite of me sending mails i cant get a reply and ass holes dont seem to pick up the phone. The auto answering machine says "All officers are busy". God knows what the f**k are they busy with....maybe screwing more customers. PVR SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS BIG TIME !!!!

Yesterday the same freaking thing happened to me. It gave some HTML error to me twice when i was booking tickets for shoot out at lokhandwala. I had tried for 3 tikeckts twice. later i went and bought tickets from the counter. Today my credit card was charged for 6 tickets extra!!

This is really irritating. I've mailed them at feedback@pvrcinemas.com and support@pvrcinemas.com with the details of the transactions. If they do not respond i'm surely going to take legal action. Its not about the small amount its about them being so unapproachable, they dont even have a phone where we can call to lodge our complaints! And seeing this happening to so many others here... its time someone takes action. Lets see if they respond or not ...

seems everyone facing same problem, I had purchased 2 tickets for pirates of caribbean, first there was some error msg, i thought it was not booked again I tried to book and got a confirmation transaction ID for the same. and now my statement is showing they have charged me twice in excess of Rs.320. How ridiculous! i think everyone should approach consumer forum. They have made a routine business by there so called online services and fooling people.

I faced a similar probl;em...but then got an email from PVR giving me the Transaction number...its getting better.
Hope it helps u as well..

Hey guys.... I think ur internet was not working properly.... so dont blame on PVR... they have very excellent services.... and I am sure its not PVR's fault..... its ur only...... so its my suggesstion look at ur internet....
At least you have that facility to book online.... so have patience..... dont worry.... PVR will improve their services very soon

Your telephone booking system so poor. Please increase the system.

My Experience in this case was different. I had booked two tickets for gold clas for PVR Select City Walk and did not get any confirmation. I however booked again and got confirmation for the tickets. Later the next day I got a message that they have booked a complaint regarding the error in booking confirmation
Again there was a message saying that the charges for the booking have been reversed and this shall be reflected in my credit card statement. I have a feeling that this sort of thing may have happened as i was using a dial up Reliance (Data Card) for booking the next booking I had done through the fast broadband connection.

PVR's system is currently very much broken. SMS never reaches. It often breaks down in IE. The payment gateway works in a very unconventional way. And they still charge you 15 rupees for every ticket!
