Panchkula is cool, Chandigarh Sector 17 is boring. Load these in your Winamp!
It’s been sometime now that I have been in Panchkula. And living in a city this peaceful and clean has been a pleasure. Not that I am someone who do a lot of driving around but it really is a nice place to live in.
And talking about Chandigarh, Sector 17 is supposedly THE hottest place to be in the town. So, there I went on this Sunday evening to this supposedly the place to be. It was 8:30 in the evening, and the place, well it was deserted. Not many shops were open, people were far and few. Balls. You tell a guy who used to spend his weekend nights in Delhi partying (and boozing to some extent) that Chandigarh Sector 17 is hot? You must be nuts. And the motion picture being shown on the movie theatre was PLAN. God help. Spiderman? Delhi , I am coming.

Dude, u r too cute to be called pseudointellectual and guys who are tlking abt the night life is dull in chandigarh, am i Bangalore from the last 7 years and i just came here for studies and job, pls go to mumbai ,Delhi the worst place and even bangalore, ur eyes will prevail the truth.Regards to panchkula it exists because of chandigarh.Bangalore despite being called pensioner’s paradise the place is sick, no roads, local language etc etc food is another problem.The best of the surveys done across the world shows chandigarh is one opf the best cities ever being made.so think b4 u say something crap like this.Ur existence is because of chandigarh only. and why is that sector 17 is boring for you, coz boring people like u wake up only on sudays to visit sector 17 on sundays.tell me where do u study in chandigarh or panchkula, how many speciality colleges or university do u have in chandigarh, unfortunately none.

The author, without any base, has expessed his views. i have visited chgr once, and its sheer beauty caught me by surprise. and i was thinking that y i didnt live in such a place. If you wanna booze whether its delhi or chandigarh how does it make a difference mr cool dude ? it was foolish on your part to visit the market on sunday,cuz on sundays its close ( first enquire and then blame ) and that too at 8:30 ? man u must be nuts to go their at that time.Do u think people would be njoying chilly nights in a closed market at 8:30 pm ??? lol…grow up

I LOVE BOTH CHANDIGARH AND PANCHKULA BECAUSE I USED TO LIVE THERE AT THE SAME TIME BECAUSE I HAVE MY HOUSES BOTH IN CHANDIGARH AND PANCHKULA. NOW MY HOUSE IS IN PANCHKULA BUT CURRENTLY I M LIVING IN CANADA,TORONTO. I AGREE PANCHKULA IS NICE CITY BUT RATHER IT IS CALM AND QUITE AND NOT MORE CHARMING LIKE SECTOR 17.AND SECOND THING IS OBVIOUS THAT ALL THE MARKETS ARE CLOSED ON SUNDAYS AND GUYS ABOVE ME ARE RIGHT ,COZ IF U VISIT SECTOR 17 ON OTHER DAYS EXCEPT SUNDAYS THEN U WILL COME TO KNOW OW BEAUTIFUL IS SECTOR 17 AND THE WHOLE CHANDIGARH. look Chandigarh is small city not like metro cities Bombay and kolkatta so obviously it will be different from them. and people living in chd are literate(mostly) thats why they don’t roam at night usually as they have to do other useful stuffs.and second thing is obvious that all the markets are closed on Sunday so you will find nothing over there except the voices of barking dogs! you found one con of Chandigarh and on the basis of that you are blaming whole Chandigarh. you know what Chandigarh is a most beautiful city in the whole India as it has no pollution, is educated and rich. if u visit sector 17 on Mondays to Saturdays then you will come to know how charming it is. although i am living in Canada but i lived in both Chandigarh(13 years) and in panchkula for 3 years so i can very well differentiate between both cities. i agree that pkl is nice city but not more charming than sector 17 of Panchkula.

I am also a guy born & brought up in Delhi. I must say it’s pleasure living in chandigarh. Nowhere you find such a fresh greenery (Figuratively & Literally). Night life is not there so what! this city has day life full of colours & belongs to Dil wallon ki who see from DIL se.

chandigarh is a way of life, that is unique to chandigarh only .NO comparsions.u can get the world’s best here in terms of lifestyle but all this comes with a condition that u have to be a chandigarh brought up person , least u can only get the crust but not the core of what lies in this city . where ever i spend my life but i will come back to my darling city the city beautiful ,and would love to have a walk at sector 17 with popcorns and softy on saturday evenings.
