SiteRollOut – Hosting Review

SiteRollOut.com – Hosting Review

Update 2: I have left this service for good. No mass backup facility? You can go and kill yourself.

Update: Before you start reading this post, I have to make one thing clear. I am on this server for around 2 months now. Uptime has been pretty decent. No problems on that front. However, the problems with site backups, support and daily backups at the server end remains…

Incidently, I am updating this post after the web hosting company contacted me to know why i was still hosted with them with such a low opinion about them. They now want me to move from their servers which I now plan to. I seriously do not like being told by my hosting company on what to blog about and what not to. I am not breaking any terms and conditions from what I know. Or am I?

Writing the truth is what I do and this post is all truth…

Yeah, I am out hunting for a new web host yet again. And I thought about testing this really crappy looking company (from the bare basic website) to take a chance. And within 2 days, I have already decided to move over to another one next month. No, there are no problems with the server as such. However, there are bigger problems.

First, the support query normally takes around 5-6 hours to get any answer. Second, they do not provide the facility to take backups of all the sites in a reseller pack from the backend! What shit…? If I have a reseller account with 10 sites in it, I would have to take the backups of each of them manually!!! It makes no freaking sense. Their explanation is that it puts lot of load on the server. Duh, it is a reseller package dude. What age are you living in!

Worse, they say that they are in the process of starting taking weekly backups on their own side! Things they do not mention on their package pages. Not that I feel stupid for taking their services… I think I had a duty to inform the other people about them. Not that many people indeed would be trying them out with the kind of website they have!

God bless the Internet. Anyone has any suggestions for a web host offering DirectAdmin backend?

Yep i agree, i was with this host. They said theyd give me unlimited reseller, and 63 gig lator, they changed there minds and cracked the shits. They then said theyd give me 6 days to tell everyone that they can no longer use the hosting, about 10 minutes went by and they suspended all of my, and my friends/customers accounts.

They wont even let some of them backup! Or give them backups, thats the end of that. Try worldhoster.org, its a really great hosting service, im with them now.

Phew, I’m not the only person with a bad experience with them!

I only with you posted this 6 or 7 months earlier.. They deleted my entire reseller account because they could find people who would pay them more. I was trying to start up a successful hosting comapny and they thought they’d just delete every account I resold which literally deleted my hosting business (of course, they don’t have backups so I was on my own).

I’d backed everything up the week before (luckily), so I was safe. But good job on letting people know about them and what they’re really like!
Don’t let bad hosts stop you telling the truth about them! :)

    Hey Sushubh

I enjoy reading your site a lot.

If you are looking for a hosting company then give a try to
http://www.asmallorange.com and in case you do take their account then give my name as referrer - I get a free month. :)

I had seen you recently on the Runbox forum !!

I have been using Enom instead of Net4domains based on your recommendation and want to thank you for it !!
