ICICI Bank and Bank of Baroda
I had disappointing experiences in both these banks today. Both the banks open until 8 pm on weekdays. I went to the Bank of Baroda at 5:20 pm to get an account opened. But no sir, account can be opened only before 5 pm. Routine transactions can be made after that till 8 pm. Duh, what are ATMs for? You can withdraw and deposit money. How many people can visit banks before 5pm on weekdays to get the important stuff done like opening a fresh account? I do not think many.
ICICI Bank. This bank again opens until 8 pm. I visit it at 7:45 pm to see none of the people who handled the stuff I had to get done was on their seats. I checked with a bank employee sitting nearby. His reply was… the people should be here normally but since they are not… he cannot help me. So, officially, these guys should have been on their seats until 8 pm but they were not. What to do? What to do?
