Hiring girls?

A girl I know from the Internet today SMSed me asking for a part time job. I do not think this is a good idea. 2 reasons… First she is a girl and they do not like the kind of work we do. Second, I have tried doing business with friends and the experience has been awful. What you say?

I can understand the logic behind reason number 2. But reason 1, how do you know all girls in the world hate your line of work?

  2. Sushubh Says:

talk about data entry and data collation. talk about thinking about new concepts and avenues. talk about a basement with 4 guys working together. talk about smoke all round due to me continuosly smoking ;)

  3. Hayo Says:

Well she could be the one and only smoke-loving super data collation jedi, no?

    Okay, I admit, it’s a long shot.

  4. Sushubh Says:

in india, it certainly is a very long shot :D

  5. poonam Says:

I agree with Hayo..its possible she will like it.. i think you don’t want to hire a girl because she might cause a distraction in your office. sahi sahi bata de…

  6. Sushubh Says:

frankly speaking i am scared of punjabi girls. and a girl in the office would mean:

    1. no profanities.
    2. proper clothing.
    3. decent atmosphere.
    4. blah blah……….

quite complicated for 4 bachelors to mantain…

But the same thing is with me… I never appoint a female Web-Designer. I gave advertisement in newspaper even… and the women are last in queue. No Risk !!!

Maybe, we people don’t want history repeat itself !
As you know Ramayana or Mahabharta, happened for a Woman only ;)

  9. Sushubh Says:

right. aurat har musibat kee jad hoti hai… :-P

  10. poonam Says:

OH PLEASE!!!! Aaj ke zamane main tum log aaise baat karte ho???

    Really bad. Quite disappointed.

Only one word for you all: sexist!!!!!!!!!!

Aur ladkiyan sab sahi kar dehti hai….it will make your office LOOK like an office..

  11. Sushubh Says:

  13. poonam Says:

    Hey guys,

    My notes to you-
Ankur: Mahabharata and Ramayana were not because of women, they were all because of their men fought. So one may say, the reason for all those wars is, the desire for women in men, in not-so-good words.

Sushubh: Dude, actually the post sounds like the one coming from a male-chauvinist’s heart. Yaar, maybe your work & work environment is not so friendly with girls, but the you’re counting on experiences of others about the same to frame an opinion….hmmm, makes me think a little longer.

Poonam: Poonam Ji, aapki baatein kuch had tak toh sahi hain but,
“Aur ladkiyan sab sahi kar dehti hai….it will make your office LOOK like an office..

jaanwar se aadmi banaa dehgi tum log ko”

Yeh toh kuch jyada hi ho gaya… kabhi-2 admi ko jaanwar bhi ban na padta hai girls ki khatir!

Nevez, an interesting post with interesting comments!
    my 2 cents
