Firefox Thunderbird Problems
I am using the latest stable versions of both these applications and I hate the fact that if I leave them open and not use them for a couple of hours i.e. I leave the PC unattended… The PC starts crawling. Why is there so much hype over these crappy applications? Opera stays open 24×7 for like 3-4 days and I face no performance problems…
DUH…
oh i forgot to add..now i have upgraded to thunderbird 2.0 also.. but still the problem persists
I had Thunderbird v1.5.0.2. While forwarding any mail, it attaches the email(.eml attachment) instead of sending it as inline text.
1. Is there some way to send it as inline text?
2. If I try sending it as attachment, I get a mail delivery failure with this error:
‘This message has been rejected because it has a potentially executable attachment “.eml”. This form of attachment has been used by recent viruses or other malware. If you meant to send this file then please package it up as a zip file and resend it.’
Can someone help me with this please?
Also, when Thunderbird downloads a few messages, the mail content is blank. This happens only with few msgs. If I read them on the server before downloading it in Thunderbird, I can see the content.
Any help would be appreciated.

errm u are talking abt my IE user id right?
Hey Sushubh, ur idea of changing the user agent is coool! this way the webmaster can know straight away who the visitor is even if the IP address does not belong to the visitor himself. I have done that for my firefox, great idea!

well it’s an old installation but rest of the applications run fine here… the problem only occur if i leave PC unattended for a couple of hours (12-13 hours).
I use both aswell, but have never had those problems. Are you sure your Windows installation isn’t FUBAR?
