I think it is a pretty cool update. If I was an Apple fan, this is the device I would definitely want to buy. It has a gorgeous display. It has a pretty awesome camera. And the iOS 4 is looking pretty good.
But Apple is not going to do anything about the problems I have with their platform. iTunes is still required. Apple ID is perhaps also required. None of the limitations have been removed. Essentially it is the same device with some new features. The problems are still there.
I am pretty happy with my Google Nexus One. Battery life is not that impressive. But looking at my usage, it has worked well for me.
If only Google can deliver the Android 2.2 update that was to come in the coming weeks a few weeks ago! And we can have affordable 3G… Umm. That is not going to happen.
You can install Android 2.2 by downloading it in your SD card. It was somewhere on the net to upgrade. I was looking for information to run Android in the virtual player that runs Windows XP also on my Ubuntu :) It can possibly run Android also. Google :)
