This is not surprising. NHAI has been a disappointment to the country. The way they have been defending DSC Limited over the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway reminds me of how Sharad Pawar defends Lalit Modi.

I paid 85+41 rupees on toll taxes on the way to Jaipur. Double this amount for the complete journey. The entire highway seems to be under construction because they are probably working on doubling the number of lanes. I assumed that we were supposed to pay toll charges after the construction is complete. Not while the construction is going on…

Nowhere on the highway we found streetlights. Traffic was a mess with villages coming in between creating nuisance for anyone who is trying to cross a long distance as fast as possible. Roads were in pretty bad shape. In fact, this was the worst experience on the Gurgaon Jaipur Highway I have faced in the recent times.

The fastest sector turned out to be the Expressway in Gurgaon. But of course, only after spending long frustrating minutes on the Manesar Toll Plaza.
