Update: Windows 7 is finally on sale in India ONLINE.

Microsoft has launched their Windows 7 operating system.

You can buy it easily from the hundreds of online stores if you are in USA or Europe or other countries.

But here in India? I cannot find any simple way to do that.

Microsoft.in goes to the right location. There is a buy button on this page. But it links to the US edition of the Microsoft Store!

buyoriginalms.com was I think the authorized Microsoft Store for Indian customers. It is operated by a company named Quasar Media. But they have not bothered to update it for Windows 7 so it cannot help you either.

I have already seen a couple of queries on the India Broadband Forum from people who actually want to purchase Windows 7! And they are amazed to see that there is no simple way for us in India to order it online. What a shame.
