Night Food Street in Chandigarh!

I was in Chandigarh last night. I was looking for some place which could serve me any kind of food at around 2 am.

Found out about this place named Night Food Street from some ice-cream vendor who was actually selling ice-cream at that time of the night!

It turned out to be a great place considering Chandigarh is a worthless place for anyone who likes to go out at nights.

There are around 6-7 stalls serving different kind of food. Food is priced reasonably and is pretty good as well.

The only problem I noticed was the guys-only crowd. I guess that was to be expected. Good thing was that cops are stationed at this place so you are safe nonetheless.

I believe it opened in December last year. And cops in Chandigarh are against the timings which are from 7PM to 7AM!

The usual thing about the trip to Chandigarh… New scratches on the car. I am a very unhappy man right now.

the best memory from the visit to chandigarh was when i went to taj to pick dad and mom.

in the front, there was this Bentley Continental GT (i think).

it was like WOW. punjab number 0001. heh.

heh i still remember offensive comments from people who claimed that i was a douche for saying that chandigarh sucked for me and sector 17 market is a PoS. :)

but then i came from gurgaon/delhi background.

hearing from you, i guess i was lucky to have a decent experience at that street that night.

The cops stationed there do nothing. A woman was molested and pulled out of her car while everyone watched. It's safe till it's 11PM. After that, if you're a girl, you're at your own risk.

I guess you are right.

When I was there, they were at a distance chitchatting with each other. I parked just outside the street, they yelled at me to take the car to the parking on the other side of the road. Apart from that I did not see them doing anything productive.

I was with my wife. There was just another couple at that time (2 am i think). The place was full of guys staring at her! It was somewhat weird. We ate our food and went back to the car and drove away.

We have a couple of places here in Gurgaon where you can get food past midnight. Most of them are near call centers so the crowd includes both guys and gals. So, never had a problem around here. Pubs are of course a different segment.

Dude i guess you are scratch magnet :). You get in car/bike/bi-cycle/train/plane/anything they are bound to get scratches.. hehehehehe... Talk to some dhonga pujari and they will tell you what options you have :).

personally i think i make big issues out of something that is usual for most people. so it's nothing unusual. i am not a bad driver though. but the problem is that i should be used to scratches after 3-4 years of owning a car. :S
