Google Gmail was down for a lot of people last night.

I was sleeping through the whole ordeal but it is not a new thing.

Well, the last time Gmail went down, I decided to start using Gmail with both Gears and an Email Client.

So, while I access my emails through the webmail account, I make sure I keep my local inbox updated through IMAP.

It is not the perfect solution but Gmail is much more reliable than emails I used to manage on my own server.
