Standard Chartered India manages to rob me eventually!

My hate hate relationship with Standard Chartered continues.

I have been trying hard to get my bank statements from the bank for a particular time period.

They only provide last 90 days worth of details on their online banking service.

So, I had to rely on the customer care to get the older data.

They charge to send hard copies to my place. 100 bucks for recent data. 150 bucks for older data. For each quarter!

They do send the statements for free on email.

So I asked them to send the relevant data to my email id.

Sounded like a decent deal.

Not really.

Standard Chartered really failed here.

They missed 20 days worth of details in the emailed statement.

I tried the entire process again.

Those 20 days were missing again.

In the end, the banking dude just had one alternative for me. Printed statement for exactly those 20 day period.

So, I would now be paying Rs. 150 + service tax for statements for a period of 20 days. This data they could not provide me online. This data they could not email me.

I would now have to wait for a week before I could get the statement by mail. SNAIL MAIL.

I once had credit card from Standard Chartered Bank, and made regular payments to it one fine morning they sent me an add on card to the existing one. since i did not reed that card i never used it. but to my surprised i realised that these thieves even after getting the payments, they used to charge the add on card for the payment of the primary card. When things went out of control I wrotew to them that I do not want to continue with their credit card and want a one time settelment, to which they never responded and finally they resorted to violance and sent holigans fro different collection agencies. Do not lake any loan of credit Card from Standard Chartered Bank. The guy out there are robers.

Hi,
I have opened free saving account with SCB bank as privilege customer of SCB bank platinum credit card holder. But then also they have deducted 882 Rs as "debit card service charges" without informing me.

ICICI Bank have 100 Rs Debit card fee, and SCB bank have 882 (not resonalble), its 8 times more,

Standard Chartered Bank taking hiddent service charges for free account.

DONT OPEN ANY FREE ACCOUNT WITH Standard Chartered BANK

regards
Dilip P

standard chartered has two debit cards. regular one has a fee of rs. 200 and the platinum one has a fee of rs. 800.

it is mentioned pretty clearly on the accounts form.

I have taken Housing Loan from standard Chartered bank. It was a clear in agreement that i can repay the loan partial or full after 6 months of taking possession of the property. I tried contacting them to proceed with making partial repayment through thier customer service. After so many emails, phone calls and fighting with worst trained resources of Standard Chartered bank, I could repay partial amount and it took almost 3 months to complete the patial repayment process.
Now i am trying to make the full payment and close the account, i am having so much issue with the customer care. First, they said i cannot close this account. Then after so many emails now they say i have to pay prepayment penalty. I called few times to speak to them personally, the customer service phone is always bussy. Till now i was not able to repay my loan and close this account so that i can save on high interest rate. Honestly, This is my worst banking expereince. I would not reccomend standard chartered bank to any one for housing loan.
