I came to the computer half asleep. I turn on the monitor to check my emails. And there I see an email that sounds like it came from the Indian IT Department.
I thought it must be one of those phishing emails. But no sir, it’s an official email from our own ITD…
I got the shock of my life. Read it thoroughly. Not once or twice but several times. The aim was to make sure I am not missing something.
Looks like they are now going to keep the tax payer updated on the tax details. Like how much you have already paid for the year.
Sounds like a good move. But I am still recovering from the initial shock.
I also received such email. The email also states that "We have reviewed your tax fiscal payments for previous months and your filed returns online", but i never went to their website before. I also gave me a link to claim PF. I checked that link too and that link does not have any specific number or combination of number and alphabets which identify my claim.
Who so ever the Hacker is has done a good job.
I entered wrong information and guess what it said the refund request has been accepted.
and I went to that same link again and i was able to submit another request, which clearly states its a Phishing email.
