25GB limit on Airtel Broadband Unlimited Connections?

One of the users on the Indian Broadband Forum is reporting that Airtel has implemented a 25GB limit on unlimited data transfer connections.

After this limit is reached, the user faces slowed down connectivity.

If this is indeed true, I am going to be a very pissed off customer of Airtel Broadband.

Of course. A Facebook Protest Group has to be launched. Here!

Yeah. Unlimited means unlimited.. Or if the ISPs dont want to give unlimited , then why dont they just give 25 gb usage per month for say 800 rupees 256 speed... it is a fair usage.. the name unlimited is used only for unlimited usage..

I see no reason why other users should get affected because of this mindless downloadathon! It's all about fair usage. Download responsibly dude and you wont be pissed off :D

it's airtel responsibility to manage their network and not mine.

if i am promised 'unlimited' transfer on my pack at 512kbps, and i pay the money they charge for it... i should get what i am paying for.

airtel is breaking their promise here. i am not doing anything wrong using the net i am paying for.

U sound really arogant.. Fair usage ?? Whats fair about providing an unlimited broadband connection and then putting a restriction on it ?? And 25Gb is nothing when using a broadband connection. So kindly put ur bullcrap aside and use ur brains the next time u comment u idiot.

Yea, Sushubu & Heavy are right, every ISP should deliver what's committed. Unlimited is unlimited, cap of 25GB on unlimited packages is not acceptable. They should instead clearly say that the package comes with 25GB traffic cap at the time of giving sales pitch.
