This post is to congratulate the super efficient highly unskilled bike riders of Delhi who make sure that no car on the road should be without a scratch. They are rather brilliant at what they do.
This was my first day time trip to Delhi and I knew the potential dangers for a faint hearted like me.
I like things to be perfect and a scratch free car is one of them. But I do not get the enjoy the pleasures of having a sparkling car because the government makes sure that we have bike riders on roads who have no respect for property of others.
The guy who hit me from behind was not wearing a helmet. He was probably without proper documentation as well. The road was practically empty. I was driving safe as I had been throughout the day. I did not break instantaneously which could have resulted in a bang from behind.
But the menace just forgot to apply his own brakes on time. He hit me from behind. It was the end of a short lived dream. I might not get a chance to enjoy those precious moments for another couple of years.
The way life is moving and the economy is behaving, I might not get a chance for a decade perhaps.
I am disappointed. It was not my fault. And yet, there is nothing I can do about it. It’s something that is highly expected in this country and people have learned to live with it. I cannot. I would perhaps be a sulking figure for a couple of days. I have no choice.
minor scratch... it was going to happen but i had hoped that it would have taken a bit more time.
