Delhi Public School Pinjore advertising on Google!
Indian companies are participating actively in Google’s Adsense program which is pretty interesting because if the target audiences are Indian people then the outcome may not be that profitable. First, Indians don’t click on ads. If they click, they rarely click to buy stuff. And if they do buy? Well I am not sure Indians would buy anything online from a site they have no idea about. Buying from Rediff online is another thing. But buying from some random site like BizRate is a tough decision.
An interesting thing I noticed today. Some guy visited my journal via Google search for Pinjore. So, I checked the Google result for this keyword. Now it’s not a surprise that he visited my site. My journal came at #1 for Pinjore at that very moment. The thing which caught me by surprise was the Google’s sponsored link for the result. The result was for Delhi Public School Pinjore. This actually sickens me. Schools advertise on Google? What for? Are they nuts? I think they would be better off with asking for less (or better NO) donations for admissions and charge less for fees. Admissions in DPS are like getting a contract from tenders/auctions… The one with more money just have a better chance. Unless of course you are a genius that they can use for their own benefit. They take the cream of the country and enjoy the success. No issues on that. But advertisements from schools? That’s trash.
Boarding School… Umm… Perhaps they are looking for american families to send their kids to pinjore for education!

Hey! I’ve been to that school and I didn’t have to pay any donations. I know some dumb people got in there….probably donations but what other famous school in India does not have this issue. Its unfair to just publicise DPS Pinjore in this way.
