Economic Times Gaffe

I have seen Economic Times making really stupid mistakes at times. But this is unbelievable.

If we are to believe this news story, Apple has launched something in India which is not even available in the US and European markets…

I am astounded.

Headline: Apple launches third generation iPhone in India

Apple launches third generation iPhone in India

I had like to check out the Apple iPhone ET Edition…

And I would also like to visit the Shahara Mall where Airtel was selling the iPhone in India.

Update: Apparently they are talking about the 3G third generation and not the third generation third generation iPhone. The headline is really absurd. They are technically right but I still think the headline could have been a bit more logically written. More here.

The headline is definitely incorrect; generation in the context of Apple hardware always means major revisions of the hardware. /See/ iPod.
