So the company managing the Delhi Gurgaon Expressway is finally accepting payments online.
They have collaborated with a company named OxiCash which has a shady looking heavily animated website with a super confusing interface.
And the fun thing is that I am required to pay 2.5% extra for renewing my Smart Tag online.
So basically, I get no discount for using the smart tag. And if I want to renew online, I would be paying Rs. 25 extra for ever Rs. 1000 I am spending on recharging.
This is how they are promoting the use of smart tags on the Delhi Gurgaon Expressway!
I forgot to add that if you want to get a new Smart Tag, you are I think required to pay Rs. 1500 for just the smart tag which comes with NO value.
Of course, you still get to stand in the Smart Tag line as someone or the other ahead of you would be without a tag resulting in your time wasted.
Awesomeness Unlimited.
Update: A great thing about OxiCash website is that no matter how many times you log in, it would continue to ask for your log in information.
Update 2: Firefox makes me believe that the web service is not very secure… Even Internet Explorer pops up a message saying that the site contains insecure items!
Update 3: I failed to recharge my wallet using online banking because their website threw me to some page which was practically blank. This was on Firefox.
