Zee Dish TV Customer Care



My account is due for a renewal on the 10th of this month.

I know it coz Dish TV has sent me a reminder every day since the last 4 days.

If that was not bad, they called me up asking me when I would renew it.

I replied. I would pay for it when I want to.

Not good enough.

The dude keeps on asking me when I would renew the subscription.

I replied with the same answer. I would pay when I want to.

It continued till the time I banged the phone on him. Pretty annoyed.

    Whenever people like these call I tell them that I hate their service and am stuck with them only because their aren’t any other alternatives or because I paid a hefty amount to them as installation/service charges.

    Instead of banging the phone, should have asked him to forward the call to senior authorities. Works a lot of times :). They get scared and say, “Thank you and have a nice day.”

    1. Three STB’s wera purchased by me on 12 July,07. Bills are forwarded as attachment 1 & 2. Before the expiry of the one year warranty, I approached customer Care on tele-4443474 for AMC for a period for one year w.e.f. 12 July’08. They promised to send their AMC Franchise to me . One Mr Anuj from Kay Dee Audiovision visited me on 04 July’08 and said that he had come for the AMC contract as requested by me.
    2. The AMC receipt is sent as attachment three. The purchase bill was shown to Mr Anuj and he was asked to enter the duration of the AMC to commence after expiry of the warranty period i.e. with effect from 12 July’08 to 12 July ‘09. He said ,they had the details and had no authority to write the duration of the contract period on the receipt.He only wrote the concerned STB numbers. Since all reference to Dish connections is through their Viewing Cards, I asked him to enter the VC numbers on the bill, which he did after great thought. The receipt does not bear the logo of Dish TV.However, I took a chance and paid Rs 1200/- for AMC of the three STB’s.For any problem, Mr Anuj had told me to ring up the tele numbers given on the receipt and their technician would come for assistance. There was no requirement, he said ,to approach the Customer Care of Dish TV for maintenance since I have now taken THE AMC.
    3. On 16 July’08, I had a problem with my TV Set with viewing card number 01504532267 ( certains channels were showing error as No signal found). I rung at tele number as gven on the AMC receipt at 1030 hours onwards. There was no response till 1115 hours when one Mrs Sharma told me that their office opens at 1100 hours only & secondly, she gave another contact number -9958992033, for my problem. She also said that the person on that mobile number will do the needful and I need not ring her up again. I informed her the AMC receipt mentioned the numbers that I had rung. She was extremely rude & shouted on the telephone ‘to ring the contact number given by her or get lost’ or words to that effect. I told her not to be rude and note my complaint. Mrs Sharma declined and banged the tele.
    4. With no alternative, left I dialled mob -9958992033. One Mr Hemant answered. On being told the problem, he directed me to register my complaint with Customer Care (C C). I rung C C and spoke to Mr Sumeet who registered my complaint but gave no reference number. Later I again spoke to Mr Hemant who agreed to send the technician. Mr Ahmed,the technician, came at 1600 hours on 16 July’08. He examined the problem and said that it was an aligmment problem which he would attend at 1100 hours on 17 July’08. Since he did not come till 1 P.M., I rang on tele 9958992033 when one Mr Tej Narian answered. He was not aware of my complaint and was about to give me another contact number. I thought enough was enough . I have been duped of Rs 1200/- by a person carrying receipt book of Kay Dee Audiovisions Pvt Ltd.
    5. You are kindly requested to confirm that the said company are your Franchise or Not. If they are not then A Police Complaint should be lodged by you. And ,if they are, then they have no right to insult the customers of Dish TV and told to go about their job earnestly. Kindly let me know the status of my AMC and direct the people who are responsible to attend to my complaint, if the AMC receipt is genuine.
    6. This complaint comes on the heels of another complaint regarding validity of the renewal period, which has still NOT been resolved.
    7. From the above one thing is evident that the Franchise of Dish TV for various jobs is being given to people without expertise, infrastructure or basic management skills. I hope some body WHO REALLY CARES IN THE CUSTOMER CARE looks into my complaints which have been backed with all documents.I do not expect a stock reply to my query!
    8. AN EARLY ACTION IS REQUESTED.

    1. Inspite of reassurance no action has been taken on my complaint. SMS from Dish TV is sent as attachment to show that my subscription was valid up 12 Jul’08 for my three connection (one parent & two add ons). Also 10% discount is applicable in my case as mentioned in the SMS & the three bills sent to you earlier as attachments.
    Since I have paid the subscription for one year it becomes effective after the expiry of my previous subscription i.e. from 12 Jul’08 to 12 Jul’09 (as also mentioned in the three bill).
    2. It is ,therefore NOT understood why “my dish space ” on my VC number-01504532297(parent), shows the renewal date as 23 /06/ 2009. It should read as 12 /07/09.Please make the correction and obilige.Also entries should be made in my ‘add on’ connections viz. VC Number- 01504532267, & VC Number-01504532266.
    3. I shall be grateful ,if you make immediate corrections on my three Viewing Cards at the earliest. All documents in the said connection have been forwarded as attachments.The problem is simple and it appears to be the result of apathy on part of the staff. Please do the needful. I do NOT expect one of Indias’ Great MNC responding like the
    staff in a Govt. Office!!

    > 2. Three dish T V STB’s were purchased by me on 12 Jul’08. Bills 1 & 2 as attachment.The subscription for parent STB ,six months, and
    > child STB’s ,two,for twelve months was included in the cost as mentioned in the bills.
    > 3. The parent STB was re-charged for 6 months i.e. from 12/01/08 to 11/07/08. Attachment 3 refers.Hence all three connection were due to be recharged on 12 Jul’08.SMS message on 05 Jul’08 from message centre mob:9821000005 confirmed the same.The message is saved on my mobile.
    4.In keeping with the above, an amount of Rs 5940/-was paid on 04 Jul’08 to Prudent Financials & Consultants, NOIDA, for recharging all three STB’s for a period of one year i.e. from 12 Jul’08 to12 Jul’09 as mentioned in the three bills . Attachment 4 & 5 refers.
    You are kindly requested to confirm receipt of payment, update your records & update the dates of renewal on all the three STB;s at ‘ My Dish Space’ at the earliest.

    my vc no no. is - 01505282058 .i m so much harresed using dish tv services.i made a complaint in june and it is solved on another complaint in july.the dish tv was fully dead during that period,still your executive says that why we didn’t made a complaint frequently, and due to that non complaint frequently we r not entitled for waiver. thats very depressing answer by ur representative. pls take a action against that and give me relief as a relevant waiver.

    To the Concerned at Dish Tv Customer Care

    I am a MAXI Subscriber and not getting many channels like 24 Ghanta, Mi Marathi, Asianet Plus, Kairali, Manorama News etc which are supposed to be given compulsorily for Maxi viewers. This I have reported to Customer Care one month back. They told my complaint has been registered and suitable action will be taken. But till today problem is not solved. Also I request Dish Tv to provide direct access to Customer Care i.e., direct number to contact CC executive.

    i have renewed my package on 16/08/08.since after 13 days nobody is either checked nor send sms whether it is working. till today it is not activated. customer care is telling that they will send tech within24hrs.

    technician is giving missed calls somanytimes in our mobile. problem as it is. ridiculous response.

    but on the two parent connections the english movie channels and the sports channels can not be viewed

    and i must tell that
    “the antena is properly connected to both the set top boxes”
