Marvel announced this after Iron Man's release this year. Why it didn't happen was because the film rights were with different studios for different movies. Now after they created Marvel studios, they can consolodate all film offerings under one umbrella. Something DC already has and still can't figure it out. :) Dude, The Avengers movie coming 2010.
