Vodafone India: Happy to help?
The ads have now become annoying especially when you DO know that the Vodafone Customer Care is pathetic and they are not really happy to help.
Here is an example comment from a Vodafone user:
I had got same response from a Vodafone customer care representative while complaining about network lost issue. That arrogant guy told me to cancel my connection.
Vodafone need to do something about their network and customer care guys or they are going to lose many of their customers at least I am not going to continue using Vodafone.
I thought long ago that vodafone did the ‘happy to help’ ad campaign because it was having problems with customer support.
In the month of may it happened . My balance in the vodafone prepaid account was in -24 . when i called to customer care they said that you have copied a caller tune by pressing * symbol so you were charged 30 rupees.. My balance was previously Rs 6 , so it went to -24. But i didnt press any * button to copy any caller tune . But the customer care executive said that you have copied from a Airtel no. which you called today morning , even according to his statement what he said was wrong the person who i called had a tamil song and the song which i got is an english song of their random choice..
They put in hold for a long time and disconnected the call 2-3 times.. Again and again i tried several times and got the line , i spoke to the Team leader named Raj Kumar spoke very irresponsibly to me.. He is blaming the customer that i have pressed the * button , which was not done by me.. A very rude and aggressively said that even if you speak continuously for 24 hrs or even 1 year nothing can be done.. he also said that system also make certain errors and we are not responsible for that.. when I said that can i switch over to some other network , he replied its up to you.. I asked is this what you paid for ? No reply and finally he disconnected the call after 32 minutes of conversation.. And all these he spoke in a good butler english..
You are absolutely true! Not one but most of their call center so called executives are hopeless, inefficient and rude! Vodafone sucks
happy to help is actually their current campaign to show that they customer support is eager to help!
the funny thing is that vodafone users are reporting on the broadband forum that they are barred from using customer care number if they call in too often.

I am working in Dubai having a vodafone sim card with me to use when I go home. I charged it last May (2008) and told I’ll get validity of 18 months. I frequently check whether my mobile is active (thoug it is out of reach here in Dubai) with my Dubai (Etisalat) number.
But for the couple of days it displays that the number is not in use. I suppose to get validity upto Nov 2009. Can someone give email id of customer care of vodafone India? Because i am not sure this msg will reach the customer care.

I am a new customer of your extreme organization, I have just get a new post paid connection phone no+91 9918448555 in sultanput city under the life time post paid offer, on 26/03/2009 from your Vodafone shop, which was sold by Mr. Vijay with the commitment that the my bill cycle was from 1st to 30th of all month.
He is also committed me that plz, send a message on 111 write PPC HR699 and get it changed in half rate plan on 30/03/2009, but after doing the same noting is changed. When I call at your very good and very know ledged call center on 30th night at 10 pm, one person is telling that your message is received and same has been changed on 31/03/2009 night after 12. When I call today night, some Mr. RAVI is picking the phone and he is telling that I have not received any request regarding this. After my requesting repeatedly, he is telling that yes, he is having my request but he is not going to processed it because my billing cycle is 16th to 15th.
He is very match rudely telling that I cannot do any this kindly mark a mail to my boss and company for any resolution.
Sir I am only 5-day-old customer with your renowned organization and get this type of treatment from organization and not only from one person from three persons.
Kindly look into the matter and resolve it other wise I am bound to go in consumer forum as well as triy complaint cell.

Press this, press that just keep on pressing the buttons all the day and the problem is remain same. Balance is reduced without any reasons. Dont know what vodafone is doing. Hutch was much better.

I am a customer availing your cellular services wide my cell numbers 9780026833 and many more numbers. But I experienced a problem which led me not to deposit my bill for I was asked to pay Rs 799/ for STD pack raised on 17th march 2009 against your SMS on 14th that was requested in yes by me on 15th evening. I was confirmed that this was on pro rata basis while I was charged whole month amount rather than the days I used services.
I make all payments on or before always but this problem made me to stop for the reason.
Nobody in 111 and stores offered me any plausible solution and worst part of that the men from collection came to my home and raised volume in demanding this as if I was big Defaulter.
My concern is:
Why not promptly my problem went settled giving rise to close of my services for a long and in such situations where can we redress our grievances?
Why your collection people not been trained on How to behave with customers?
My intentions are to make payments as soon as I receive a solution.

I am jst fed up from vodafone customer care. On 26th May, 2009 morning i got msg from vodafone tht MCI (Missed call informatn) service has been activated. i ws surprised to knw coz i had not activate that service, but checking my balance i got there was deduction of 30 Rs. then i talk to vodafone custmer care. they told me to send a message CAN MCI to 144. i did the same.Then on 27th morning, i got a message that MCI service has been deactivated.
then again 27th afternoon i got a message that MCI has been activated. & again they charge me 3o. Rs/-
Now there is a total deduction of Rs. 60/- in 36 Hours.
Vodafone executives r saying its not posible that v had activated MCI service without your request.
kindly help me what to do?????……….

Please note that I am not at all happy with your customer care people. According to your message I have refilled with Rs.151 with STD talk time of Rs.251. Though I got a message saying that ‘Processing request for a refill of INR 151.0. I also another message saying that ‘Your account has been refilled successfully by INR 0.07.Your Vodafone prepaid account balance is Rs.129.45.Your transaction ID…’
My previous balance and refilled balance with talk time should automatically reflect and should send a message to that effect. Whereas I have received nothing and was fighting with the shop.

I am facing a problem in my prepaid account balance. I had made a topup of Rs.150 in the month of June. Later after a month, that is in the month of July the balance I had was deducted. Immediately I called the customer care and enquired the reason, initially they said that topup is valid for a month, but then during the period of topup I was told talk time is valid till the expiry date of my recharge. Later they said their might be some technical problem in their system and would refund my amount by 3rd Aug.
I had logged the complaint on 30th July. I have been calling the customer care quite a lot of time and they still keep telling that I will get my amount refunded. I can list some people whom I spoke with

All of them assured that i would get it refunded, but no effect.
If the customer care continue to work in this, it will definitely loose many customers. If my issue is not getting solved then surely I will be moving out of this and even insist my friends not to go for this.

On the arrival of many new GSM networks in Tamil Nadu circle with more benifits on Bonus cards at low price and maximum validity, THERE IS NO NEW LOW COST BONUS CARDS FOR SMS IN VODAFONE.
For e.g.
1. Idea cellular provides Bonus 18 for 1500 local SMS for the period of 30 days validity.
2. Airtel provides Bonus 16 and Bonus 26 (6000 local SMS – 30 days).
3. Aircel provides Bonus 33 (10000 local SMS – 30 days).
But there is no Bonus card for SMS at low cost and max validity. Bonus 14 (140 local SMS – 15 days validity) and Bonus 61 (750SMS/day – 30 days)
Pls take necessary action for ur poor costumers…..

Being a Vodafone customer for five years i always face issues with your network and I have made a several complaints and notified to the customer care. They create a ticket and nothing have happened after that . More worst to it without getting any feedback from the customer they send a message stating the issue is resolved and hence closing the ticket this is not happening for the first time each and every time i face this issue.
Frankly speaking i was using this no as all my friends and colleagues have this no and that’s the reason i am having this number .
If u need to check my status you can go ahead and check my issue logs and it would be of maximum network issues. I can give a example this November for 3 days the network was down during the night time and i could make any call to any one in any network more worst not even to the customer care i exactly don’t remember the dates . I was stranded in the middle of the road as my bike got punctured and I was not in a position to get a help from any one . I don’t know what to say if you were in the position then i think you can feel it .
What i have mentioned is only few there is more
Interestingly i face many different issues
1) Although the message is not sent the balance is been deducted from my account and the number no more exists and i was been charged for it
2) With out getting any notification the network goes down and no response from the customer care and I got a response stating they cannot keep a individual tower for me
3) During the conversation the call gets disconnected automatically ( not the call gets disconnected for every 30 minutes ) not even for 2 to 3 minutes the calls get disconnected for this to I have made a complaints yet still I face the issue but at correct intervals i will be receiving a call as my recharge is going to expire and need to recharge and messages will be charged for the festival period most of the messages were not delivered yet we get charged these type of calls we will be getting regularly and at correct time no matter what ever it is if this can be addressed why not u can send the same network issue in a message through a Broadcast what you people use
4) The most astonishing fact i have recived a message form other network ((AIRTEL) stating that my MMS is been activated and I have recived 3 messages. Two messages from Airtel stating my MMS has been activated and one message is the configuration message . The same is witnessed by Praveen from Vodafone store at Vadapalani near Soorya Hospital ( I have been there for submitting my address proff). How can a Vodofone customer can receive message from a different service provider . Being a lay man i can say that’s Vodafone network
I am eagerly waiting for the uniform number system if that’s been done then I can go ahead and switch to any other network that really understands the customer issues . All these years i haven’t mailed any one regarding this but i thought i should do atleast now and want to bring to your notification
