Standard Chartered India suckiness

The first annoyance factor with Standard Chartered is visible finally. The online banking facility would only display the bank statement from the last 90 days. I thought computers were powerful enough to handle more than that amount of data!

For more data, I am required to go to the bank or contact them on phone support. How sad is that?

The company charges Rs. 150 to provide me hard copies of statements for the period before three months! This is absurd. What is the use of online banking if I cannot access my entire bank account statements!

While Hdfc displays only last 2 months.

and if you reach the bank branch ... sir we can only give for last 6 months. call phonebanking for one year statement. aarrrgh!

Axis Bank shows all the statements in my account without any hassle ever since my account started with them.

I never had any issues with it either. Debit card also worked /everywhere/ and /everytime/, unless it was a problem with the ATM machine itself.

well yeah. axis has a pretty decent reputation.

Hi..you seem to have a way with words..just that you seem to be using your words always to express a depressed picture of everything that touches you..Ever seen or experienced anything happy and good ever..I wonder.. your picture doesn't seem to show a low personality tho1.

Cheer up friend, spread some happiness too around you !

oh well. i keep the good things in my life close to my heart. i just rant about the bad things in life. :) it helps relieve the pain of dealing with the jerks of this world.

it is sad to see banks limiting their customer's ability to access their own records online....despite their tall claims of providing 'highly advanced online banking' services....it's just a pain in the arse!

They have outsourced their computers to some hack in jhumri talliyan :)
