Isn’t it interesting how the term ‘expressway’ can have different connotations in different parts of the world. In the States you have expressways where you have not only a maximum speed limit but you have signs telling you that you CAN”T go BELOW a certain speed as well. In China, you have expressways that connect one corner of the corner to the other, you pay a toll, and you can have the driving pleasure of sailing down the exressway without encountering certain kind’s of traffic.
And in India, we have expressway’s the likes of this Gurgaon way, where you have three-wheelers jostling for space with tractors, motorcycles, pigs and bullock carts. Once during peak hours I actually nearly ran over a BEGGAR-of the no-legs-but-little-stool with wheels variety trying to play Russian roulette with the oncoming traffic.
Tag or no tag, crossing the toll bridge is a nightmare. I learned the hard way, lining up nicely and politely DOES NOT WORK. There are all these call-centre cabs, who have tags stuck up on their windscreens ONLY FOR DISPLAY. They stick themselves in the TAG-only lines and then proceed to make their passengers pay the charge and in the process hold up the entire lane.
Then there’s the smart guy who’s perfected the art of lane-swapping. he keeps a glad eye out for the lane that’s moving fastest and manages to nose himself in oblivious to the irate honkings of all those who’re slower in line.
Three simple suggestions for the management of this toll thingey which would be on my Diwali wish list.
1. Hire some bouncers- of the Haryanvi Jat variety who can come and break the windshield of those who have no respect for the line.
2. Have an on-the-spot 1000 Rs fine for those who insist on getting in the TAG lane with their 17 bucks in cash.
3. For god’s sake figure out a respectable laning system. If you MUST have autos and two wheelers, GIVE THEM THEIR OWN LANE.

no one bothers. there are so many diversions in delhi. so much fuel is wasted. the government keeps on crying about everything but they do nothing. nothing at all.

The way they are dealing with comuters, it can happen only in India. World is in 21st Centuary and we are still 50 years behind. Nobody listen, nobody cares. The top politicians & beurocratesdo not face any problem. And one important thing is what we are getting out of it. The cost of wastage of fuel is much more higher than the amount collected on which government is giving higher subsidy so there is net loss to the nation. Who bothers????

Dear Friend
Your job is not over to get the TAG. Every evening you have to fight to cross the lane. This is significantly due to poor civic sence we preserve. All the commuters standing in que are fools and the overtaking dirvers are smart. The entry in TAG line without TAG must attract heavy entry fee - almost 4 times the normal entry fee.

Dear Expressway managers

Well everything seems to be going in non express fashion even after 6 months of opening the expressway.

1. Even 6 months have gone.. you don’t have online recharge process of the Tag which can satisfy / adhere to simple all mode payment process
a) you don’t accept cards other than American Exp. & whereas your office counters at the toll plaza does. it seems you guys have really taken the promise.. that you want the commuters to suffer, suffer, suffer……
b) Also why should one be asked to register in a third party website like Oxicash??? or even do Mcheck. Mcheck is yet to be accepted as payment mode by public.

c) You should have done tie up with a normal payment gateway which allow access thru bank account, all credit card/ debit cards as well as mobile banking.

2 Tag users are the most disadvantages now.. in peak hours. Marshals are absent, the tage lane dividers have been shortened and getting into the tag lane is a nightmare.
3All non tage users smartly get in and take out cash.. wasting the time & effort of those who have purchased tag. Why can’t you fine them and ask them to pay the double amount?

We are all reaching a frustation point in using the toll plaza.. and once again negative public opinion is building up against you.. so buck and tighten your belts before you face poublic wrath again.
