U, Me Aur Hum (Review!)

U, Me Aur Hum (Review!)

A movie with a stupid name. Ajay Devgan directs it. Acts in it and has his wife accompany him in this disastrous venture.

The movie could have been a better product if it was executed well. It has all the elements of a decent movie but poor direction made it a very bad product.

Ajay Devgan needs to act more sanely. He plays a psychiatrist but ended up emulating Aamir Khan of Mann.

He is a doctor but behaves like a health counselor bored with his job while he is working with his patients.

Kajol is a disaster in the movie. She looks bad. She dresses bad and she is too loud. I do not like high pitch dialogue delivery and she get to deliver a lot of that in this film. At least Ajay could have gotten her a better stylist and a makeup artist. That would have solved the problems watching scenes of close-up shots.

Another major problem with the movie is that it drags for too long but tries to cover a lot in the ending sequences.

Alzheimer is the cause of the problem which leads to trouble in their marriage in the second half which gets too irritating at times.

Incidentally, the theme somehow is close to Aamir’s Taare Zameen Par where the kid is suffering from dyslexia.

TZP was more watchable coz the second half was the happy half. UMAH ended up as a disaster as the second half has all the sad parts. The endings are happy in both the movies. Like they are supposed to be in Bollywood.

One thing is for sure. Ajay can definitely make better movies than his father.

UMAH is a superb movie in terms of feelings and emotion.

the review shown on this page looks like that a naughty school guy reviewed it who doesn’t have any sense of film crafting.
