Amish you are WRONG. BSNL are a bunch of idiots for providing the linux dialer in EXE format because (1) RPMs are already compressed; packing in zip-exe format expands the size of the file (2) the linux unzip command does not always extract zip-exes (3) the confusion they cause linux users (4)they're also idiots for using and encouraging garbage microsoft shitware ($oftware) in country where people are not yet wealthy and shouldn't wasting money on paying good money for garbage software from the thief known as Bill Gates and when unix/linux is superior, securer, and FREE. BNSL and the idiot Indian govt babus encouraging Indian to ship hard-earned rupees/dollar to MicroShaft for shit OS is the work of a bunch of idiots (5)Governments with more self-respect than the idiot ghora-dey paar chaatan-walay govt in Delhi such as China's govt or Tamil Nadu's or Andra Pradesh govt have moved to linux/unix to save money, encourage more developers and to be independent of the slavish relationship to micrsoft.

p.s. if someone doesnt know how to unzip in linux and uses windows to unzip sfx the package? needs to buy "2nd hand brain from ebay for THE DUMMIES" if he (assuming its a geeky guy irrespective of sex) will figure it out on his own on how to configure via kernel hooks. that person wont need an EXE. FUCKIN' RETARD BSNL, and FUCKIN' RETARD THAT LINUX USER.

@Sultan
Linux can unzip ZIP/EXE files, there is no need to search for windows or mac. I wrote it just if person does not know how to do that. Or does not want to take pain to type simple command, but is ready to take pain of transfering over CD/floopy/USB

So if person who doesnt have internet on Linux (because he doesnt have dialer) can unzip it on Windows (because he may not know how to unzip on Linux)
well, what to do if the linux user only has got a mac? or not even a mac afterall? just a linux with a cd drive - normally people have got one computer only, execept, well, developers of .exe files for linux tools. They have a handy "unzip-widnows-pc" just around the corner. Just for the daily unzipping needs for their linux system. Yes, that's it!
